The Fellowship Committee would like to thank all those who participated in our fun, and successful March events. The Philadelphia Flower Show trip, and the Hexagon/Dinner at the Hunter's Inn outing were enthusiastically well attended, and a good time was had by all. Many thanks!

Equal Exchange Coffee Sale. Sunday, June 17th (Father's Day!)

"Co-operative Enterprises Build a Better World", and PPC is proud to offer quarterly sales of coffee and chocolate to help those enterprises achieve their goals. Through farmer co-ops, farmers are strengthening their communities with schools, wells, credit unions and environmental stewardship. Equal Exchange is a worker owned co-op creating jobs and a democratic workplace where all have a stake and a say. Learn more at www.equalexchange.coop/worker-owned, and please support these noble efforts by purchasing Presbyterian Coffee Project's coffee and chocolate, which will be for sale in Fellowship Hall after Worship On June 17th. Makes a great gift for Father's Day!

The Fellowship Committee plans and carries out various fellowship activities for adults and families throughout the year, often in cooperation with other committees and groups in the congregation.  Their projects and initiatives include:

Dine with Nine-Members enjoy the ambiance and fellowship created while dining in each others’ homes over the course of several months. Throughout the year members within the groups join together three to four times. This is always a special program for current members of PPC, but also is a valuable way to share new friendships for members who have recently joined the church.

Equal Exchange Coffee Project-On a quarterly basis, fair trade coffee is sold to members of the congregation with profits going to Youth Initiatives and coffee provided during Fellowship hour. In December, the sale was expanded to include hot chocolate and chocolate bars for “stocking stuffers."

Special meals and celebrations-Throughout the year, the Fellowship Committee offers special meals in support of special worship services or church events.  In the past, these have included:

  • A light supper before the Maundy Thursday service
  • A celebration breakfast for confirmands, their families, and their mentors on Confirmation Sunday
  • An ice cream social following our Faith and Freedom Worship service
  • A "Tailgate" picnic followed by the Calvin Bowl (a game of touch football-church officers vs. church youth)
  • A light supper following the Hanging of the Greens service to mark the beginning of Advent

Other PPC fellowship events include:

Williamsburg Breakfast-Sponsored by the Board of Deacons, this annual breakfast takes place during Advent and is a time for the congregation to enjoy one another's company as well as Christmas treats and traditional carols.

PPC at the Nationals-During the summer, PPC goes to the ballpark for an afternoon of family fun full of peanuts, cracker jacks, and plenty of baseball.
